You need to pick the lock first, it locks the boltwork preventing it from entering the wheel pack.
As for the handle that fell of, it looks like, as you mentioned, that the snap ring fell off. You should be able to re-insert the handle
and manipulate it as normal but the safe will probably need repairs, and sadly, it isn't really worth repairing.
The mechanism is all nylon plastic and cast pot metal, that and the back cover is not made to be removed and will likely crack or break upon it's removal.

You are right but I'm still going to try a Laser rig just for fun on the Sentry.But first the tubular lock .I;m getting a tool from Southord for that.

I started a graph on the Wards safe . Thanks for the inormation Oldfast . I'll post it soon :smile:

That would be great! I'd really like to see what your graphs turn up, as I don't have
a real fair test group of these locks. But with the small number of them I either own
or have encountered, what I explained with the highs seems to be the case so far.

Like I said, the lock is from Center Manufacturing. As to the exact model, I believe they
called this their #100 lock - but don't quote me on that. I'm pretty sure though. Anyway,
for a long time I thought this was some unbranded generic lock... so it was nice when I
finally found an actual company for it. Thought others might be interested to know too.
