The black marks are there to make closing the cover easier. When the two black lines on the cover are aligned and the two black lines on drive cam an lever assembly, then the cover can be put on without any issue.

All magnets are in the cover. One is where black lines is behind the disk. Two or three are where the other black line is.

I would not call it split cam. It is a fence lever control device like in the 3390, 1985, 1947, 3090, etc.. It is doing the same, just by different means. But on the other hand the split cam in the Mosler MR-302 is basically doing the same. So it kinda is both. Fence lever control device and split cam. Unlike the Manifoil which is a true split cam.

And a drawing from the patent DE2320816 reversed, so it matches the vision in the video. Blue is the magnet in the movable thing with the black line. Pink are the magnets mounted in the cover near the other black line. Green is the circumference of the disk.

I was thinking along the lines of Mosler 302; instead of spring, magnets. Perhaps semi-independent dual-cam system would be more precise
