Safe newb, looking for primer

Good morning. I am looking to learn more about safe cracking. Specifically, dial combo lock safes. I've been reading through some of the reviews here, and while there is some great stuff, some of the terminology is unfamiliar to me. I have exactly zero background. So, I am looking for links and suggestions on Intro to Safe Cracking so I dont have to necro ancient threads and ask stupid questions y'all are probably sick of hearing from every newb who waltzes in. I appreciate your time.
