my New Music Wire Turning Tools

Here they are... these are awesome.
Music wire, (two different gauges..) bent to 90 deg. angles, then flattened with the side of the wheel on a bench grinder..
The round part of the remaining steel is very comfy on the fingers, for extended picking sessions.
i included shots from many angles so you get the idea what they feel like.

Those are awesome! I made one similar out of a coathanger and it's really comfy, I didn't completely finish it though so it slips out of keyways a lot. I really need to finish that thing.

Very very cool, I've seen Kokomo use those as well, I've been meaning to make some, I hear they have great feedback. Nice job on the double ends!
Naaapaalm...sticks to kids...it sticks to the belly and it sticks to the ribs...
See those kids standing by the lake...drop some napalm and watch them bake.

I knew you'd put it to good use. Never made a BOK wrench from it before. Nice looking wrenches man! I love that stuff, it's got great feedback and it takes up very little case space. Crazy is da man for recommending it so often.

Re: my New Music Wire Turning Tools

The hardware store next door sells it. It's music wire in name only, as no other common steel wire is tempered aside from what is used by musical instruments. It's a common name that caused me alot of frustrated searching... :spinning:

Nice, I think I am going to join the bandwagon and find myself some of that aswell. Looks like it makes really nice tools. I have heard Crazy talk about this stuff for a long time, I never thought it would work so great.
I have been in the souls of many women, but I always end up on the soles of there shoes.

I asked kokomo about it last week. Ordered some myself as they don't stock it at my Ace's. Mine should be here next week. What sizes did you use awol ?

Re: my New Music Wire Turning Tools

You can buy piano wire up to around 1/4 " thick. Check model / radio control toys shops for K&S branded stand with around 20 different sizes of the stuff.
