A few question...

1. Is this the US military version only? or will it also be available in the civi version.
2. When did this change come about?
3. Any new special innerds? pins, tail pieces, etc.
4. Is that a 5 or 6 pinner?
5. Is the plug still the same base American Lock plug with just a different keyway?
6. When can I get one?
7. Any difference in price?

Sorry to ask so many questions but this interests me because it's one of my favorite locks.

Any chance you could do a whole gutting of this thing?

Thanks and Happy Picking,
Whizdumb

What do the letters on those 5200 mean?
I have 4 and they are labeled:

OFL
RFN
WGG
REJy

I didn't want to start a new thread for this question.

not really part of a team lol... i just walked in and was talkin to the lockshop guys and they let me in on what was going on and I involved myself lol

the letters are tracking numbers, you can take those letters and punch em in somewhere on the website and itll give you the date you lock was made...

Cool lock. The keyway I have never seen before, I know they make a lot of restricted keyways though, I have some R7 restricted here but nothing like yours. This one is kind of the same but bigger and has been available for a while now. They use them on the Armory here in town on the weapon vaults. It is a #748. http://www.mrlock.com/12181.html.

:D I've seen what they've done here.

They've taken an American 5300 padlock and labeled it as a 5200, and then put a Master 17 keyway into it. I'm almost positive we have those keys on the board, I'm gonna have to double check when I get into work.

And here I was hoping that they had actually done something special...

Thanks for the pictures LSA.

the 17s should be just next to the 900s, it looks so much like a 900. and yes, ive been on the american site, drooling over the shrouded locks. abloy makes a shrouded 300 dollar lock i jerk off to, someday ill have both.
