american series 50 gutted

hay guys i sent one of my home brew picks to LSA and he sent me a old american series 50 padlock
enjoy
1: unlock padlock.

2: remove retaing screw from under the shackle.

3: with the face of the lock faceing you tap the left side with a rubber mallet or simmalar to move the retaing pin out of the plug.

4: remove the plug from the lock this one has 10 wafers.

5: remove the cam from under the plug.

6: remove the 2 stainless steel ball bearings.

7: remove the shackle it should just pull out.

8: pull out the spring from under the shackle.

9: now you have completly gutted your lock.

10: this is the guts out of my one

now you have the choice to make a key if you dont have one or clean it that is what i did and it is working like a dream
hope this helps sombody thanks

The code is hidden in the tumblers. One position opens the lock, another position opens one of these doors...
