A modified Sargent Mortise Cylinder picked open.

It has serrated key pins, and stacked serrated T pins...this lock was evil.

holy cow balls! that does look crazy. But does it have multiple shear lines due to the separation of the pins? Looking forward to the video. :)

I've picked it open fully pinned twice, and It always ends up with the bottom set of pins in the plug and the top set of pins in the housing. I haven't been able to make any multiple sheer lines with it.

Also, I just tried it out since I had the lock gutted. With the key pins inside the plug with no key, I added the security pins, and only the first row of security pins, the serrated T pins, actually sit inside the plug, none of the upper T pins do, I believe Farmerfreak created those as a bump stop feature, and to make sure the serrated T pins didn't sit level, and would move around, like drunken spools, as he has named them. So no multiple sheer lines.

Good job picking it. I'm not sure when or how, or if my memory is a little faulty, but it seems that you are missing one serrated T pin.

I think there were more master pins, like the one in the picture in the first chamber should be above the springs. They were carefully measured and placed above the springs to prevent any possible overlifting past a 1 depth (Sargents shallowest depth). The spring can compress around the T pin all the way, so the spring can't get crushed. Oh, and the pins above the key pins 1 and 5 are upside down in your picture, not a big deal.

Even with those minor issues. Picking it wouldn't be much different if at all. Again, good job!

Edit: I didn't do anything to prevent bumping in that one. Not that it should be easy to do on that...

Yeah I don't know, I got the lock from Kokomolock, maybe while he had it around the shop, pins went missing something. How it is in the picture, is how I received it. No worries though, still a hard one to pick.

I never took em apart or looked at the keys, how I received them is how I shipped them to Chris!!

lol, well it's a mystery. I may try my hand at returning this lock to the original specs that Farmerfreak made it. Add the master pins above the springs, create a new serrated spool and add it to the first chamber. It will be a nice challenge, if I send it to anyone, though I think I may hold onto these FF locks, after all, they are member made, and pretty bitch'n.

The serrated pins where originally LAB pins. I'm pretty sure they are just brass.

FF-modded locks are truly becoming collectibles!
