Re: The Unpicked Locks Thread

Thanks Corey... no biggy if ya can't, just thought I'd throw it out there. I too, have an undpicked 826. Although I've managed to pick all my
other S&G military padlocks, this one still throws me for a loop for some reason. I may have to just take a look inside. I have a feeling
someone may have altered the pins. If a lengthy driver was placed atop a lengthy keypin, it would create ALOT of pressure... which may be
part of my problem. The other part of my problem is probably just lack of experience. lol

That sounds great but I would be only interested in permanently buying from you. I could never part with one of those ASSA LFICs once I had one in my hands. I have lots of other locks that might interest you or I could offer you cash.

Would you be willing to make me some of those code setting keys?

Re: The Unpicked Locks Thread

Xeo it all depends on how much more time locksmith allows me in his shop I am only in this town for 2 more weeks and he has promised me one more session, gonna try to get the gen 3 codes done which is 16 keys, and i ordered 20 keys at 5 dollars each from him so that leaves 4 left over blanks if i dont mess any up, so if I have time and enough blanks I may be able to get the code 2 but dont hold your breath it is hard as hell for me to get in to the shop I work 9-7 m-f and his shop his open 10-6 so I go on lunch for 30 min a day if he doesnt have a job or call out to do. .

Just curious - what is with the double springs? I see that there will be more force on the middle pins.. just curious how this works.. also curious about those top pins that are the same length, or is that just to grab the larger springs?
Interesting!
