Damn, I am not really that good at cam locks so this could take a while.

Yeah it is pretty cool! The great thing about working as a locksmith and also loving locks is that a lot of locksmiths don't seem to love the locks as much as a lot of us here, so when I ask for a used lock they have that they can't sell off they don't seem to have a problem letting them go.

Kickass!! I've been jealous from the first day you started this thread...lol.. but also very happy and excited for you Mathias.
I think that's just crazy cool the locks you get to see & play with... but even more exciting is the shit you're learning & working
in a field that you love!! I'm really happy for ya brother. And thanks for sharin' em all with us... keep postin' em!! I love lookin'.

Your latest Medeco addition has got me drooling. If Sour's right, and it is a cam lock, it may prove to be a great battle :)
For me personally, I've owned (and picked) onle ONE Medeco cam lock. It was in a Medeco Metrolock 52-7.... and it
seemed to take me ages lol.... viewtopic.php?p=47009#p47009

Eventually, I'd like to revisit them and get more familiar to where I can pick em' consistently.
I've a 52-5 that just arrived yesterday :D Not sure when I'll get around to it though.

Thanks man! I can send you the padlock after I pick it so you can have a go at it if you like. That goes for any lock you see on this thread!

Yeah I was playing around with it and felt just like my other Medeco cam lock. This lock is not easy!

Re: "junk locks" from the shop

It occurs to me that no-one has addressed one of the questions from your initial post. Have you figured out the keymark keyway yet? If not, try a peterson postal hook. It doesn't LOOK like it would even fit, but it's a keymark killer!

Re: "junk locks" from the shop

Elbow's right. Although I don't have a postal pick, I use a rather deep hook on em... and it works fine.

For me, the keyway really didn't pose a problem. It was getting use to differentiating between the pins and the 'dividers' that lie between each pin.
