First Disc Detainer using Solomon's technique

Didn't he also have a video where he uses a wide tensor (probably wiper insert) and a half diamond pick?

I think he did. I got this lock because there was one like it in Bosnian Bill's Travelling Lock Box. However, when I received this one from eBay, the retaining ring and first disc were chewed up, as you can see in the picture. I was not happy about that. However, when I contacted the seller saying that I wanted to return it, they refunded the money and told me I could keep it.

P.S. As you no doubt noticed, the tension wrench is a wiper insert. Made it last night when I decided to tackle the lock the way Solomon's video showed.

the retaining ring and first disc were chewed up, as you can see in the picture.

Does the chewed up retaining ring and disc affect the normal operation of the lock? It was a good move from the seller to do that. If only there were more who did that...

The lock functions normally, even with the retaining ring chewed up and the first disc a little rough looking. It came with three keys, all of which work without any problems.

Have picked these before with a borrowed disc detainer pick, but it is more fun with the wire pick.

How wide was the tension wrench you used?

I tried this but my tension wrench was not wide enough. =/

About as wide as the height of the keyway. (As wide as the key is tall).
