Re: CQ DX QRZ?

I've been wanting to get a licence and into Ham for a while, but I never seem to be in the right place at teh right time with the money for a rig. A nice reference site I found last year:

http://hamuniverse.com/

I'm sure now that i found this place and some live people to help answer questions I'll follow through this time.

No problem, WolfSpring. I've been an amateur radio operator for slightly more than 20 years and hold an Extra Class license. Be glad to help.

Been on the raido since the late 70's use to just talk local the basic 40 channel's but since I got my base station here next to my comp I do mostley skip from a Cobra 2000 GTL base station,I use a Antron 99 Antenna and 100 wiskey's from it and love it.Been talking all over the US and Canada, and Jamaica as well as Mexico.Got my handheld about a month ago, it is a Baofeng UV-3R Mark 2 it dose from VHF 136-174 and UHF from 400-470 then my base dose from 26.065 to 28.305,the station I mostley listen to is 27.3850 in the daytime and from 9:00 pm to 10:00 pm E.S.T you can find me my call letter's are 2X553. Look forward's to shooting the skip with you 73 to you and yours keep some of the flower's for your self
