Looks home made. I'm guessing all you've got to do is align those big cutouts on the spindles and it opens?

Yes just aligning is open like the pictures
Any info about edge or place to origin?

PMatias, where are you from? Your lock is probably from your own country and hand made as others already suggested.

http://antique-locks.com forum would probably have better answers for you. (as already suggested, please go ask them)

Where did you find or buy the padlock? Has it been in your family for many years? It could be made any time in the last 50 to 150 years, but I am not a metal or patina expert.

Thank you, I’m in Argentina and the padlock was find for a friend and I don’t know anything more
