So, in a moment of impulsiviness, I bought this. I MAY have paid too much, but I had to have this most unusual padlock. Seriously, how could I pass this up!? If anyone knows anything about this, let me know. Post in the thread please, because any and all information on this lock needs to be shared. I have never seen this lock before, so I could not let it escape without first having my hands on it. It will reach me soon, and when it does, I will post pix and make a vid. Thanks all! Looks like a good buy when i first clicked on the link,it just showed the glass bottles, after clicking on the pic,it brought up the lock itself, that obviously houses the bottles. never seen one before, look forward to the write up mr p.
So I got the lock in today. Its as described and pretty cool. I sat down with it and began to dial the combo in, and it didn't work. I read the little instruction sheet but it was in French, so I translated it via Google Translator. The combo still didnt work so I tried dialing it in backward. Nope, no success. I was about to message the seller and go irate on his ass, but then I noticed two things. 1. The opening instructions are written in englis on the back of the paper and 2. I was using the wrong opening index to dial in the combination. I learned a little about myself just now and also a little about the lock. Lessons that I will carry on in the future, and help me not be such a dumbass and to help me problem solve better, in the future. Any who, here's some pictures! I am going to make a Youtube vid later, in the attempt that later on down the line, somebody will explain to me, just what in the hell I have here.
Notice how at the top, there appears to be an index. Well, the correct index is actually at the bottom!
Some kind of epoxy is in this spot. Probably to improve the structural integrity
Thanks guys! I emailed the company that made this and they are giving me all the information on this padlock on Monday. I told them I was a lock historian... which is kinda true lol. I'll post what the send me.
