An-Tun Lock with cool "spool bead" keys. (Pics + Video)

Hey guys,

Recently got my hands on a cool lock with even cooler keys!

At first I was so confused because I had no idea how the key interacted with the lock. But after taking a closer look and fiddling around with a pick I was able to figure it out.

Not sure how necessary the design is, but I think it's pretty damn cool looking!

The spool bead system has to be for more than just aesthetic purposes.

I wonder if the function of the rotating beads is to prevent bumping~

The spools could be more about instilling a greater confidence in the security of the lock, or about patentability for key control. It may help prevent bumping, too. The angles the pins enter the keyway at are not any more drastic than on a Kaba, and the lock undoubtedly is of lower quality than a Kaba. But it is amazing to see.
