Re: My New Locks

Great new locks mate. I have a few myself and they are just beautiful. One without knowedlge would never guess that these are actually level locks and not just warded. Well its actually a warded lever lock but the beauty of it is that it incorporates the flat key which needs to be turned and its something we arent used to seeing with traditional lever locks.

Re: My New Locks

Beautiful. Really like the key that came with em'.

Challenging locks to pick... for me anyway. Some of them pop right open,
but many of them I still struggle with. Need to spend more time with them.

Only just seen this thread - that's interesting, I saw the keys and assumed they were warded. I assume that means that a standard warded pick wouldn't work on these locks?

Re: My New Locks

spuds: what is the height on that latest yale? there is a 5", 4", and smaller. 5" is the largest, has an elongated shackle compared to the 4 inch but i think the body is the same. 5" can cost anywhere from 150 to almost 300$ ... corbin, eagle and other companies copied/duplicated the body style and some can be VERY hard to find. it the key hole plate/disc cover intact? or does it have a big opening and the key just fits in.

either way, very nice it is definitely one of the larger ones. and having an original yale cut key is great.
