Been looking for that Monsanto best lock for awhile. Any interest in trade for another BEST logo lock?
macgng; it's completely unnecessary to have ~15$ in keys for a 50¢ lock ... but we all do it anyway :P

yeah i will, i think it is a model 29S? I can't remember, but it has a screw in the shackle hole, which drops the cylinder cover plate and the KIK comes out.

Agreed. The French obviously follow a different star as far as design goes. I like the looks of the Vachette AXI'Home key too.

Very interesting collection. I think even people with no interest in locks would like to see the 'name' padlocks like McDonalds, the Forest Service, GE, etc. Amoco! There's a blast from the past. When I was a kid the nearest petrol station to us was an Amoco.

Wish those Yale Bicentrics had been sold over here. I'm not a lock collector, but I want a couple of those. :smile:

yeah I've sorta have a mini side collection of "modern" gas station best logo padlocks: exxon, texaco, amoco, shell, BP, sunoco, etc....

i dunno how it started but i have most of the ones i see driving around.
