Re: National Key Help

my first guess would be http://compx.com/national.html
do you have a pic of a lock that uses that blank?

Re: National Key Help

given the mass of that blank I would think lots of keys will pass the keyway. The problem looks to me to be the stop, it is quite a way down the blank. If you fab something it will have to have considerable relief up through the key bow, unless you can find a blank with a really long throat. I find nothing in my information that is original, can you go to the original manufacturer of the product it fits? It very well may be proprietary. Good luck.

Re: National Key Help

Looks like a National 3 space key. If you can't find a 3 space OEM blank, I would find a longer blank with the same profile and just shorten it from the tip. It will still space the same from the shoulder.

Has he asked you to get a brass magnet yet?

Re: National Key Help

It's for a control panel manufactured by Eaton

You may be able to find them through Eaton; or through your favorite locksmith distributor. CompX National part number is
M5566810520001J. (Minimum order is 3).

Re: National Key Help

Good call! A buddy of mine was looking for these blanks a while back and I never was able to locate them.
