US Lock Driver Pins

The US Lock mortise cylinder that I have has these driver pins:

Is this standard on these locks? Do we call these sorts of driver pins serrated even though they only have one channel as opposed to many as per :serrated: ?

This has a SC1 keyway. Can I safely assume that the D&S metrics are the same as Schlage SC1?

Re: US Lock Driver Pins

The D&S metrics are very likely the same.

That looks like a spool pin, but the steeply tapered top cut on the spool makes it look slightly mushroom-y. I would still call it a spool pin.

Re: US Lock Driver Pins

Nice lock Piotr.
I would be more likely to call it a serration in the pin other than a serrated or spool pin, as a serrated pin would have more than one serration :serrated: and a spool would have a smaller diameter middle section at some point with or without additional serrations or other deformed shapes encountered between it's ends. :spool: :angspool: :dblspool:
How much has this pic been enlarged? and how big/deep is the serration?
OMG, where did i just pull that from? given myself a headache now...
