Need help figuring out how this lock works

Hey guys,

I found this Chinese lock the other day and I know they are pretty common, but I realized something~~

I don't know the official name for this type of lock and I am not quite sure how they work.

Can someone help me out with some info and/or a diagram.

Can this be picked with a set of standard tools? Any YouTube links to people picking them would be very helpful!

Well, that's nothing new

On a related note, those look like those laser cut keys that some cars use. Maybe they work the same way?

Thats an inner groove cylinder. Pins have little fingers that ride inside cuts of key.

Can we get a look into the keyway? Therte are disc (wafer) locks that take a key similar to this also.
