You do realize that they will have to hack-saw the shackle between the lock body and the first part of the gate in order to get the lock out of there. Bolt cutters won't do the job since part of the shackle will still be blocking lock removal.

Oh yea, I realized as soon as I saw it which is why I posted it here

I don't think so fellas. Looks to me like the bottom of the shackle could be cut, then rotate the top half, it should pop right off. If it wasn't a spring bolt in the lock they wouldn't have gotten it on there. Right?

A ball bearing lock can easily be put on there same as a spring bolt. Open it up, turn the shackle out 45 degrees, side it through the holes, turn the lock body back and lock it up.

Pretty sure Mastersmith is correct. Thought of that myself about five minutes after posting above. It looks like a cheap lock, not something that would use a ball bearing locking system.

My little Ryobi cordless 18V grinder, new metal cutting wheel, fresh battery, and 15 seconds and wala, lock is open. One of my more robust lock picking tools, LOL. This reminds me of the saying" You ever talk to somebody for a while and wonder who ties their shoes for them everyday?"

There is enough room in the holes in the fence, and the soft rubber bottom of the lock to rotate it counter clockways.
I suspect someone pushed it up that way once it was closed and you should be able to lock back verticle..

Not so sure about that. The hasp the long shackle is passing through is pretty thick, limiting how much the shackle can be lifted. Don't think that lock body would be able to rotate as described between the wall and the hasp.

That looks like they left it in the lock and dropped the lock. That or it is the working key for the lock up above.

This lockup goes under the heading of YCFS! Cajunshooter, I have threatened to cut the string they tied to the front door to find their way home....
