Trying to determine the manufacturer and model of this lockset as I have several of them that I want to change the knobs to levers without replacing the entire lock

Can you post a picture of the logo on the cylinder? The picture is too small for me to see a name.

Re: Can anyone identify this mortise lock
westmaint, there are conversion kits specifically for making this conversion. Not all mortise locks will take an upgrade like this without additional springs to prevent lever sag. For the Corbin locks we use at the airport you have to change the knob hubs, add a couple of springs (the lock body must be new enough for this to even work) and then levers will work. The kits use return springs located in the escutions so thy will work on many different brands.

JeffMoss the cylinder on this one is a Schlage but most of the others I have have no logo or name on them. I am pretty confident it is not a Schlage lockset

I'm thinking Sargent. Do you have a picture of the cylinder cam?
A lot can be told by the cam.
