Re: Company complaint?

That'd be great! Hell, that's basically what happened with the RR Brinks Mogul Prison lock pass-around (Thanks again Kokomo!!!)
That beast was fuckin' awesome. EVERYONE so far has posting an out-of-box 'FAIL' vid, followed some time after with a 'SUCCESS' vid.
I enjoyed the fails just as much (maybe more, lol) as the success vids. I've saved them all so far in my 'favorites' on my channel. Good stuff!!

It thoroughly kicked my ass for 23 mins :D http://youtu.be/rxTYTE46R9g

And it took me some time to shoot a success vid http://youtu.be/TrTv14b5byM

Enroute to Pickafication in Canada as of today. Just for future reference...

Shipping to Canada, if using a small flat-rate box, is going to cost $12.95
However, if you use your own box and go 1st class, it's about $9.00... savings of about $3.00
I didn't know this, but I'll keep it in mind for next time.
:D

The HURD paldlock has no key with it. I sent the deposit bag with both its' keys....
one is locked IN THE BAG, the other... taped to the INSIDE OF THE BOX.

Re: Company complaint?

I'm going to have to work on this mortise cylinder I have here. I want to make it very difficult to pick and add it to the bag. I'm going to be making a hardened cutter to make some more home brew pins.

Some of us can't even do security pins yet. Do me a favor and at least include a note in the bag that explains what your lock is so that those of us that have no shot at it don't sit there thinking we're close to getting it when it's actually about 5 years over our heads.

I'll still give it a try mind you and I'll even post a vid of it. I just don't want to sit there for a week thinking I'm close on a lock there's no chance in Hell of me popping.

I can do a video of it. I just countermilled the plug and I still have not picked it since I've done that.

Re: Company complaint?

What is counter-milling the plug?

Sorry, I don't know what that means.

I might be wrong but I think it is serrations on the plug itself and when the lip of a mushroom pin starts being pushed past them they kind of have a serrated pin effect but they are a lot harder, well at least for me they are.

It took me a long time to get my head around what exactly countermilling is.

Its a groove cut inside the pin chamber to create an extra false lip for security pins to get caught on.

You can just about see the little grooves cut on the inside of the chamber in this pic.

Hope that helps.
