A few keys in the 92-201 -> 92-210 range would be good as I'm trying to crack the bitting sequence of these filing cabinet keys at the moment.

Most blind code don't have a hyphen. What is the brand of this lock and how many pins?

I am looking for information on the Master blind code system for the A series. The code book that I have for Master shows A114 having 3 bittings - 4445, 4446, and 5556. The question is, which one is it? I would think that a proper blind code system would have a 1:1 mapping between bitting and code, but if you had certain blind codes, which bitting would you use? I found that certain bittings have multiple blind codes, but that's not so terrible. Is there some sort of algorithm that maps bittings to a blind code in many cases?
For code A116, the codes are 4130,5241,5251,5341,5352,6251 - that's potentially a lot of wasted blanks if you had to guess. The worst part would be if you were ordering locks - you would have to provide the direct code if you wanted to be sure to get the right locks. Which bitting do you think is correct for A114 and A116?

Here's what I get for these bittings:

Direct Code: 4445
Known pairs: 4445 114 (has 3 entries index is 0)
Known pairs: 4445 138 (has 1 entries index is 0)
Total entries: 2

Direct Code: 5241
Known pairs: 5241 116 (has 6 entries index is 1)
Known pairs: 5241 1091 (has 2 entries index is 1)
Known pairs: 5241 1099 (has 1 entries index is 0)
Known pairs: 5241 5759 (has 2 entries index is 1)
Total entries: 4

So for 5241, it's not the first entry for 116.

I haven't found a clear pattern, but I'm going to keep looking.

If you cut them in this order , you can reuse the same blank multiple times. You only need 2 blanks for theses 6 bitting.

My software showes the same codes as macgng.

The probable reason for the multiple codes in your book is that the companies that make these books put the list together from information they get from locksmiths. If they get several bitting for the same lock , they can't know what the right one is. if you look at the 6 bittings you have for code A114 , they are very close together. One of contributing locksmiths mistook a 4's for 5's and 5 for 6. And another mistook a 5 for a 6. Same for the A116.

That makes sense now. At one time, Master locks had the blind code printed on the bottom of the lock, so some of the codes may have come from someone impressioning the lock and then reporting what they got. Thanks for the insight, and your blank saving hint.
