Ingersoll Lever cleaning, lubrication, maintenance

So I emailed Ingersoll for cleaning/lubrication/maintenance advice and got this response:
Hi Joshua,

Thank you for the compliment.

I am afraid we remain bound by the official secrets act to not discuss these padlocks other than with senior military personnel.

Best regards

David

There isn't much information on the Google. Any tips on lube and maintenance? Thanks!

I got a good laugh out of that. Apparently, we must be ever-vigilant for foreign powers looking to surreptitiously clean and maintain military locks that a readily available online.

LMAO!!! The fact that they can be disassembled and cleaned is an official secret. You are now on an official secrets spy watch program. :-)

Think I have a thread here somewhere on how to take apart and clean one of these. I used silicone paste for the heavy o-ring and external locking parts. Inside, pretty sure I used Vaseline - a very, very thin coat - to lubricate the levers. Lock works like new, and it was pretty grungy when I got it.
