Master Combination Lock 1500 Research
I just got a bunch of Master Locks 1500 (black dial, code on the back 9xxxxxx) and I tried Oldfast way of manipulating them. Sadly it didn't work or I did someting wrong.
But I think he said he didn't check it on the ones with a code stamped on the back. I have exactly those.
But I found out something else and I really would like you (if you have such a Master Lock) to check out what your results are.
You pull the shakle and turn the dial clockwise. With the right amount of tension it will only get stuck at one position (not alle 12).
I call this one number A.
From there turn the dial counterclockwise with a little bit more tension.
It should get stuck at another number (number B).
I always try to "ride" the bumps inbetween the gates. So you know you have the right amount of tension.

Locking at those results it seems like the number A is the second number of the combination.
It also seems like of the code starts with a 909, 910, 911 the number B minus 3 (sometimes minus 6) is the third number of the combination.
If the lock code starts with a 903 or 904 number B is the third number of the combination.
Those locks are really not common in Germany. So I did not mess with those before. If anyone knows a way to open them without shimming or doing hundreds of calculations please tell me.
Otherwise it would be cool of you could post the results you get.
