Master Combination Lock 1500 Research

Hi,

I just got a bunch of Master Locks 1500 (black dial, code on the back 9xxxxxx) and I tried Oldfast way of manipulating them. Sadly it didn't work or I did someting wrong.
But I think he said he didn't check it on the ones with a code stamped on the back. I have exactly those.

But I found out something else and I really would like you (if you have such a Master Lock) to check out what your results are.
You pull the shakle and turn the dial clockwise. With the right amount of tension it will only get stuck at one position (not alle 12).
I call this one number A.
From there turn the dial counterclockwise with a little bit more tension.
It should get stuck at another number (number B).
I always try to "ride" the bumps inbetween the gates. So you know you have the right amount of tension.
Those are the results for my locks (code on the back, code for opening, number A, number B):

903974 14 32 26 | 32.5 26 B
909411 31 05 35 | 05 38 B-3
911201 02 28 10 | 26.5 16 B-6 really hard to turn
910749 38 00 06 | 39 09 B-3
910779 34 36 18 | 35 21 B-3
909446 25 03 25 | 02 28 B-3
909476 13 35 05 | 35 08 B-3
904675 10 32 26 | 32.5 26 B
909523 32 18 24 | 17 27 B-3
909986 00 02 16 | 02 19 B-3
910659 04 10 00 | 10 06 B-6
904279 22 24 18 | 24 18 B
909472 14 24 18 | 24.5 21 B-3
909527 26 08 02 | 08.5 05 B-3
909427 26 32 22 | 32 25 B-3 / B-6 sometimes i hit 28
910737 00 22 12 | 22 15 B-3
911200 06 08 02 | 08.5 05 B-3

Locking at those results it seems like the number A is the second number of the combination.
It also seems like of the code starts with a 909, 910, 911 the number B minus 3 (sometimes minus 6) is the third number of the combination.
If the lock code starts with a 903 or 904 number B is the third number of the combination.

Those locks are really not common in Germany. So I did not mess with those before. If anyone knows a way to open them without shimming or doing hundreds of calculations please tell me.
Otherwise it would be cool of you could post the results you get.

Cheers

Although my method pops the newer 1500's like hot-cakes, I find the method MUCH less effective with the older versions (#'s on the back). In fact, my success rate w/ those seems to dwindle to about half-&-half.

I'd love to give your theory a try... it looks promising! Unfortunatley, I've no older masters to work with. I'm very interested in seeing where this goes... I hate being bested by those older ones. :) lol

There is an algorithm on a website I have a link to at home which reduces the number of combos to like 80. It does work! When I get home I will repost the link. You can also just google search "master combo algorithm"

@macgng: if my method would work you would only need to check the first number with is less than 39 tries (maybe only 13 or 20).

@thelockpickkid: i guess you do not share your program so i have no other option :-p it would be cool if there is an actual equation for calculating the code. did you try to find one? for examplee comparing two codes that are only of by the last digit.
