As for a "cap" between the shank and handle. How about a nice rounded bead of silver metallic, say, JB Weld ?

I think it would not only bond well to the metal, but to the composite handle as well. And the silver color would offer a good colour/tone transistion between shank and handle.

Wanna make some comfy, ergonomical type handles
for a few of me own (that damn finger cramp)
but sitll undecided as to the material to use.

I get , chequered type fabric? From that! :?

JB Weld seems well over qualified, love that! :lol:
