Quabillions homebrew picks

Hi all, first post to keypicking, thought I would show yall what I have to work with.
These picks were made with a bench grinder out of street sweeper bristles. The yellow paint is from a paint marker pen, so just in case I drop them I can hopefully find them. The tension wrenches were made from the leftover ends of the bristles and they are double ended with one side short and the other long. The topmost wrench has a point on the end to help with picking IC cores to the control line by grabbing the holes in the bottom of the keyway.

A closeup of the special tension wrench, I am sure there is a proper name for this wrench but I dont know it right now.

First use of said tension wrench about 5 minutes after I made it.

Purely functional.

I like using street sweeper bristles to make picks. My last two picks that I have posted images of are made from sweeper bristles.

Welcome to the forum.

Very nice work Quabillion.

But what is even more intriguing is how you managed to find street sweeper bristles.....IN THE DESERT!

What's next, an ark on top of the mountain?

lol HC

I have about 60 of them from when I lived in Midland, my hometown.
I've been in terlingua for about 3 years but come to Midland to visit family quite often, and do my shopping. Here is the nearest Home Depot and Wallmart/Sams club to my house, 320 miles one way.
In fact im in Midland right now for work.
