These are ridiculous.... I love how you progressively got better and better. Keep up the amazing work and I wouldn't mind having a few of them. haha

What is that white material you put on some of your handles? I am working on a set with Mastodon ivory which I have used on knife handles and takes a nice finish.

The material is perspex (plexiglass) , ps grinding this stuff kicks up killer fumes , be careful !

Thanks for the warning, but I think I'll use Mastodon ivory. As with all fine dust you should still use a mask, but ivory doesn't have any nasty chemicals in it. (Speaking of nasty chemicals, I tried using super glue on a large patch yesterday and got a lung full of fumes which just about put me out. I guess we usually use small amounts and don't notice it as much. Be very careful of this stuff if using a large amount.)

Re: Nozza36, homebrew

The picks you sent me look even better in person than they do above! Truly appreciate your attention to detail (groves in the handle are very well placed) & hard work on them. They truly are among my favorite pieces I own & I look forward to using them for many years.

Re: Nozza36, homebrew

To remove all the dents and scratches i had to sand them so much that in places they've worn too thin and are splitting (mostly around the joint)

Re: Nozza36, homebrew

After having the picks reinforced with silver solder i filed the lumps down , and then shrink wrapped them , they look ok , and feel great , so that can't be bad !

Those are looking nice! What do you use for the pins/rivets in the wood and perspex handles?

Hiya Natural , the "pins" are just either wooden dowel or plastic rod , super glued into place , holds up pretty well mate !

My first attempt at Aluminium threaded handles , not perfect , and not finished yet , but will be really busy for a bit , so posting a few pictures while i can , looking at 35 nights straight , will put up pics of the finished pick when i eventually get the time , lol
Selim , will send it to you when i've sized it and got it looking shiny !
