:) Thats the one. I have had it on my shelf for a while, it looks cool, but I´ve never even seen it open. Now I have high hopes for cutting a key for it. I bet you wouldn´t have sent me this if a key for it was possible!

I sent huxleypig a couple locks to test. Two of them were padlocks with no key. The PL318 was new in box, I have the keys here.
Good work, man! I´ve said it before, will say it again, -I wish I had the patience and skills (and maybe machinery) to accomplish a working pick for Abloy Classic.
If this ever became mass produced, it would break the first page news here in Finland.
Be aware of the China men copying it. See what happened with Jaakko Fagerlunds pick for Abus. Its now sold everywhere and the guy has propably got nothing out of it.

Actually I would have still sent it to you. I have found quite a few more of these locks including a keyed alike pair :D Hopefully you can get a key made and have an awesome collectable.

I was a little sceptical of this new Abloy pick. I´ve seen so many that have tried or claimed success picking Classics, but have seen no proof from them.
The PL318 was NIB, I have the keys here. The code huxley sent me was just a little off.
The other padlock I had with no key. I hope to make one now, its a cool lock and I might want to use it.

Anyways, I can confirm that huxleypig can pick Abloy Classics. You may be the first in lockpicking community!
Congratulations!

Why thank you kind Sir! And thanks to everyone else for their kind words too.

I have since re-picked and decoded the PL318 and I (hope) I have now got the correct code. If it is now right I know what the problem with the 1st decoding was.

I find it hard to believe that that this is truly a first...I know that I have longed for this tool ever since I got into locksmithing and I also know that the only thing that has ever come close was the H&H piece of crap that does not work...at all! I did hear of a tool called the 'Vempele'. I do not know if it was a pick or a decoder and I do not know if it was ever made or if it was just an idea but I have never seen any proof that it was real. And it is because of that scarcity of proof that makes totally get the skepticism...I would be skeptical too to be honest.

But having proven it is possible, I am still surprised that in 107 years NOTHING has ever been (publicly) available...

Also, does anyone know what the hell this disc is for:

Image

I am guessing it is an anti-decode disc but as I understand the decoder (Falle made the decoder because he concluded the pick was impossible) works by the feeler arm coming in from the side in a radial motion - and so avoiding the cutout on that disc anyway...

He may want to go inbetween those the classic and Protec. I'll send him a Disclock or two if he wants to try them.

Thanks man, yes, very happy with the results! It is a real PITA to make though, everything has to be very precise or it just won't work.

To be honest the Abloy Classic pick was just a side project that I have been working on for years and I never really knew if it would work. But it does.

Next up is the Abloy Classic profile(s), which are doable too using the same principle.

I have the Disklok safe and secure thanks Gordon. It is on the list (with its brother, the Exec)...as is the Protec. But I believe the Protec/Protec 2 has been done and I do not want to re-invent the wheel. As far as I am aware there are no PICKS (decoders, yes) specifically for the Exec/Disklok/Classic (until recently)/Classic Profile(s).

Lol! Nozz man, I owe you for the lovely picks I have that you made me, if you will use one you can have one, as soon as I can make some more without destroying them (I might have said this before but they really are a bugger to make).

Immortality will be achieved if...no, when I break the MCS.

Beautiful tool Huxley. WOW!!
Now it needs a name I suggest the "Pigsticker Classic" Erm..... on second thought that doesn't sound very pleasant.

Re: Abloy Classic Tool (that works!)

Yeah, it does need a name! The TruffleHunter? The FinCrusher?

The pick has now undergone a bit (a lot) of a re-design for the Classic Profile(s) and I'll have the first Profile pick prototype very soon.

Re: Abloy Classic Tool (that works!)

So here's a picture of the 2nd generation prototype. Note the re-design. Everything got swapped round!

Recently I re-did the handles too:

Knurled brass handles are the best thing ever!

By the way, I am currently flogging them at £300 ($450).
