PLEASE START AT THE BOTTOM OF THE POST AS ITS BACK TO FRONT, SORRY LOL

This post is a tutorial on how to disassemble a Mul t lock locking mechanism, step by step. A big thanks to WIZWAZZLE as he made a short video 4 me on how to make the pin retainer and the principles on how to gut the lock.

This lock was sent to me by a friend in Halifax in the Uk, who was having difficulty opening it, and was kind enough to give me the lock. The lock is already picked at the start and ready to gut.

To carry out this task you will need:

Long hook pick, sticky tape and a pin retainer ( showed later in the post ),

To view the picking of this lock go to : Dont forget to rate and comment if you like the video : )

remember yesterday when i commented that i would bet on mastering wafers?
that is what you have there..
they create a separate shearline for mastering...
if they were in the bible,it means u can take them out..
if they were in the plug you have a master key..
i want you to look carefully @ your 3 keys..
insert them, one at a time, and see if any of your keys are cut to the depth
that allows the wafers to sit flush in the plug.
it is possible (and highly likely) you have 2 change keys and one master.

They were in the plug mate, the 5th and 6th had small cut pins on top of the regular key pins, i need to reassemble the lock before i can check the shearlines again mate : )

no,you dont.
just insert your keys...(into the bare pinned plug)
have you determined if you have any differs between keys?
do all the keys bring the pinstacks to flush with the plug?
you do not need to reassemble the lock to determine this.
also you may want to replace the missing spring, driver and keypin...
(you can use any pins that are the correct diameter...)
i actually had to fabricate a replacement keypin for my garrison 7-pinner myself..
no big deal.. =)
just let me know if you need any help.
