Thought I'd share this recent purchase with the forum.

This was purchased from Shenzen Hua Hong Locksmithing Co.

The tools are decsribed as YuanZi lock pick tool on the sellers site. I don't know whether YuanZi is the name of the lock these pick or the name of the manufacturer. In any event the lock appears to have a crescent shaped keyway with two rows of pins. The three tools appear to correspond to the three pin configurations available for this lock. Notice that one of the tools/locks has three (3) pins on one side and two (2) on the other -- this is most unusual. I don't yet have a lock for these tools but I have a rough idea what I am looking for.

In terms of design concept these tools are in a similar category to the Sputnik except they are purely picks and have no decoding ability.

Would they be universal with other locks available on the market. Being honest ive never even seen anything like it.......have you tried using them?

Cool picks!! Does not look like it would take much to lock each lever down once you get the pin set then it would decode also.

I have two locks from China with crescent-shaped keyways but none with crescent shaped keyway AND two rows of dimples, so I haven't been able to try the picks. I've only seen the crescent-shaped keyway on Chinese locks so no I wouldn't say they are universal picks. The design is sound though and if you have the right metalworking skills and materials you could reproduce the basic design for any dimple lock.

Ok, cool. I thought markings (which reflect the degree of rotation) would be necessary to decode.

I remember seeing these, I presumed they were for cars!! Can see how they'd work for dimple locks too tho now.
