I do keep two of these in my rig...You can buy them in the 7.8 mm (standard).... 7.5mm and smaller sizes..Nice as they require no electricity and portable. You can use you tubular pick on a lock..then use the decoder it comes with.. then make a key with the handheld unit....down side to them they are good for small jobs and better using a standard tubular duplicator/cutter for the big stuff. Good side is you can cut tubular keys by code with these...Hpc make a nice unit a little over $300 or you can get the chinese knok offs for under $100..

watched the video...The flashing lights are off the neon signs above..not the cutter and that does the exact thing as a curtis 15 cutter..he was using a decoder on the lock and then then adjusted his spacing and depth..Curtis clippers does the same thing but you need to bring your own disco ball.

I saw a 'clone' of the HPC tubular hand cutter for about $40 (US).

Am very tempted to get one. As I do not need to cut tubulars often, it
is hard to justify purchasing a regular bench tubular machine.

for $40 buck its a good deal and they work fine..They only work on 7 pin standard but thats what you mostly run across..With a nice tubular pick to decode the locks with out keys and that handheld unit you will be good to go..i Get a lot of calls from the harley type shops here for lost keys.. harley charges over $50 to send them another key..nad 3-4 weeks is usual. Piece of cake!
