Ebay.com Ad - Eagle Lock Co High Security Cylinder - in box

Hello Good Folks of KP,

Here's a very cool old lock by Eagle Lock Co. - a high security rim cylinder with Bell-type lock and keys (keys have squiggle tracks). It has 'pat pend' on the front face so this must an early model. It's NOS (new old stock) and comes with the box plus 2 factory keys. Finally, it comes with it's own 'guarantee' against picking or manipulation during the first year - how cool is that! See pics.

Perhaps those in-the-know can chime in and teach me some more about this baby - I recently bought one of a later model so I am all ears - how hard are they to pick ?

Don't delay, as this auction even has an enticing "buy-it-now" price, which is less than the final bidding price often reached in recent sales of this lock.

This is such a nice-looking lock I posted this in hope that one you guys might be able to snag it. I have no connection to the seller.

Happy hunting,
Sean

Nice find, VS. They made these in padlock form a while back. Still trying to get one of the padlocks for the ol' collection.

They are both pin tumbler AND sliders.

FarmerFreak picked mine blind out of the box... So how hard can they be :D LOL

I think its wafers and sliders, there is a breakdown in the padlock handbook.

I have several of the padlocks, they are the same but with longer keys.

@Gordon
Tumbler and sliders oh my! :)

@Mac
I think I saw the video of Farmerfreak picking it out of the box - he's off-the-charts with mad skills.
The padlocks are really quite beautiful creations - I've viewed them in your collection thread on many an occasion.

Do you think you could post a picture of the page(s) from the padlock handbook of yours?
I would love to read more about them.
Thanks,
Sean
