Looks like that lock is installed/in use. Maybe its one of those T-handle locks that you open and then it pops out and you twist it... no idea. Have you tried tensioning it and screwing with it?

The code is hidden in the tumblers. One position opens the lock, another position opens one of these doors...

It is a CompX/National KeSet Lock. You have to tension against the pins. Medeco just makes the T handle. Good Luck!! http://www.compxnet.com/products-natmtogaming.html

Re: How would you pick this lock?

i have a shitton of these locks btw... if anyone is looking ofr them

they are neat, its rekeyable in a unique way.

each key is paired with a control key, the control key sets the lock into a locked or change mode... in change mode only the controll key can be used to lock the lock (which has not been unlocked up to this point) then the user key that is associated with that controll key can be used to unlock the lock. to change the lock, all you need to do is insert the control key it is set to and change the lock back into change mode and insert another control key and lock it again... now the origional user key wont work and the user key associated with the second control key will work... its neat lol kinda confusing but neat.
