Re: Luggage Locks

Having a really good luggage lock is only gonna serve as an invitation. Word to the wise, they don't touch the locks... you can pinch the zip and undo it with a pen cap, then reseal it. Take your valuables on board with you, among your carry-on luggage. Your suitcase is only for clothes.

The vid mick linked to doesn't work for some reason, but it's simple enough. Once the zip has been popped open, all you need to do is run the zipper along it and it will reseal again. Scary stuff, right?

Re: Luggage Locks

When I fly I make sure to only take as little as possible so all I take is one carry on, but I thought it was a requirement now to use TSA approved locks, if you don't you could possibly be held up at the airport. The TSA locks allow them to look for weapons and stuff, but if you put a different lock on there and they can't get into your bag then your liable to be searched in there small room!!
I have been in the souls of many women, but I always end up on the soles of there shoes.

Re: Luggage Locks

Baggage going into the belly of the plane is now screened. It never used to be. If they can't open your lock they will cut it off..

Put you bag in a box. Then put the box into a new box. Boxes are good to anything 8-)

Re: Luggage Locks

A small lock of medium difficulty setting to 4-5 pin. Exaggerating is useless, if they want to start splitting everything as often happens in airports here in Italy.
When you do not steal the entire suitcase full :D

Re: Luggage Locks

I wouldn't even bother putting a padlock on my case, means that you don't have anything of interest in there.

Re: Luggage Locks

I often travel to do lock work for friends and family. When I do, I ship my tools and valuables in insured containers.
