Many-warded keyway

Thinking about ordering this soon.

Image

Seems like a LOT of wards in the keyway. Also seems like it'd be hell to get a pick in there. Opinions?

Re: Many-warded keyway

this really depends on your skill level and the kind of picks that you have. i see you're from the u.s. so maybe you want to try out a many-warded american profile lock, to familiarize yourself with locks made around the states. the wards on this lock don't seem to be dramatically angled, which is a lot harder to manipulate around, but if you're a beginner it may also incorporate security pins. i started with easy locks without security pins and added challenges over time like ward patterns, high/low bitting comos, and security pins. let's know what you're working with.

Re: Many-warded keyway

This lock is more for my collection rather than for picking. I enjoy collecting high-security locks and keyways, whether they have complex wards or complex pins.

Ive got one,on picking this lock, the warding in the lock wears down to a point that your pick as no trouble entering the keyway.
If you use a epg on it watch how fast the warding vanishes.
I have it somewhere,i will post a pick.

Lol, imagine how quick the warding would vanish if you put a little file in there! Good idea, bad implementation.

Re: Many-warded keyway

Have done one with a similar keyway.
Used the snap gun in the end and it flew open.
