Re: Members Say Hi

Hello my name is James And I have been working with locks and keys from 8 years old and picking locks is my favorite part I buy a lot of picks and I make a lot of my own my first set that i made was out of banding steel with a vice and a file now i still use that file but i also use a dremel tool over the years I have found that some time its better to make the pick your self and fine tune it to your needs I'm now 53 years old and I don't plan on stop picking lock there a lot of fun in 1981 I started my my own locksmith business witch is closed down now due to health reasons and now I'm disabled and home bound I don't get out anymore so that gives me a lot more time to work at picking locks and making more pick of my own and still do some lock smithing for a few people.

My Quote is: Don't ever give up picking locks and taking on the challenge of the the newer ones until the day you die.

Hey all. My name is Jay. New to the locksport community. I've recently gotten into lock picking, and have a good working relationship with my local locksmith. He helps me with my sport needs. I'm an iron worker by trade, I like to work with my hands, so I picked up picking. My 8 year old also enjoys locksport as well.

Re: Members Say Hi

Hi,
Thank you for letting me in :)

My name is Razvan , I'm a (frustrated - for now) 37 yo XY Romanian living in Poland, still a virgin (never picked a lock open ).
Why am I here:
-first of all to meet new people,
-discover a new community,
-understand if Lock Picking is for me,
-hopefully , lose my "virginity" in the process.

What I am doing wrong :
-at times I have a sick sense of humor, and sometimes I offend people in the process :( I am really sorry if one day you will feel offended.
I don't want to upset anybody. I will try to keep my mouth shut as long as possible ...
-
-
-
-

What I am doing good :
-I was called a "good listener"
-kind of difficult to get me upset
-
-
-
-

I'll let you guys fill in these lines, in time :D

Ok, enough talking, let's pick some locks now :)

Welcome :).

To set a signature:

First click "User Control Panel" at the top:

Re: Members Say Hi

Hello all name is Darrell and I am in Tennessee...

I have been interested in lockpicking for awhile now but I finally pulled the trigger and bought a pick set and started picking... I have been picking now for a little over a month... I have also added new and better picks since my first Goso pick set...

I am a full time husband, dad, and paw paw...

I also ride my Harley Ultra Wide Gluide and into shooting and Paranormal....

I am disabled so I am a full time picker now and I hope to learn more and hope to help here as much as I can.... I am a firm believer you never fully know everything on a hobby and there is always something new to learn...

I do hope to start a utube channel soon and start exchanging challenge locks soon...

So if I can be of any help to anyone or the group in general please let me know,,, I have alot of time on my hands lol....

Thanks for allowing me on here and happy picking to all...

Re: Members Say Hi

Hi,
Just thought I'd introduce myself, I've started picking locks recently so I'm still pretty new to it, but having fun getting into it.
My expertise is Cyber and Network security and I've always been interested in physical security too.

Also, it's one of my cheapest hobbies as I'm into Photography and hobby grade RC cars (Electric and Nitro).

I'm starting slowly, but I've finally managed to be able to some of the time SPP a Master 530 Replaceable Core from Home Depot (See http://imgur.com/a/xSxEA ) and I'm having fun with it.

Any tips would certainly be appreciated.

Thanks,
Stefan

Re: Members Say Hi

Welcome, Stefan!

Looks like we share some interests :) (Network security and photography). I was going to get a new lens for Xmas but mayyy have just spent that money on locks... Whoops...
Good job on the 530 as well! Just looked it up - dead core and security pins too :D.

Seems like you're already beyond me in skill, so not much I can offer in advice... But regardless, welcome to the madness! :D
