Re: Members Say Hi

Hello Everyone,

I found my way here after recently rediscovering my interest in lock picking.

I taught myself the basics many years ago primarily to open equipment cabinet locks for servicing electronics at the time. With the exception of an occasional opportunity as a volunteer firefighter I rarely have the need to pick or bypass any locks.

As part of my current work I do have some experience supporting the various locking devices and master key system in a small institutional building.

I look forward to being part of the Keypicking.com community.
Best Regards,
Nick

Re: Members Say Hi

Joined a while back; figure I should formally introduce myself. I'm a maintenance administrator and former private security supervisor in Portland, OR. I've picked, restored and otherwise worked with locks for several years. I've spent a fair amount of time on LP101; looking forward to contributing here as well.

Usually, I'll find a lock that's obscure or otherwise interesting to me, pick, disassemble, reassemble, pick again & again, then cut a key for it. Rinse and repeat, until you have a garage full of locks and parts.

Hello all,

My name is Brian, and I've joined because I want to learn more about locks and security in general. I am a Bank Lock technician by profession and as such work with locks (primarily safe deposit box locks) on a daily basis. I am looking forward to learning anything that might help work go better, as well as being really interested in safe refurbishing.

Hi, in Dan.. I'm a joiner and uses locks etc on a day to day basis... I'm wanting to get into lock smithing and picking as a bit of a hobby that I can use at work if I need to.
The girlfriend has been away this weekend so I made a bump key and it seems I can bump my front door lock every time, not good for security!
