Hi and thanks for this great site. I have been using look pics as a hobby for a few years and wish to learn how to do right. How I got interested was years ago i picked up a hitch hiker and he locked and unlocked my glove box while going down the road.He could tell I was hooked and he gave me my first pic and tension wrench .I work as a blacksmith and so any thing with my hands and tools gets me thinking and Ill try it every time.I am in Alaska and can not get to my smithy or tools untell next month so for now I just get to troll for ideas.I will have a nice new set of picks from Sparrows waiting for me when I get home. Just when you think you've learned it all, that is when you find you haven't learned anything yet.

Well the kinds of things that I make are use full ornamental Iron work I have a line of "Horsey" stuff made from horse shoes for people that have horses like hoof pics ,wine racks, wall hooks, saddle racks. I also make a line of candle holders and a line of garden tools and plant hangers if its made of iron Ill probably make it.Sorry with where I'm at I don't have any pics. I plan on making some lock picks when I get back to to my shop. and I think garage door spring would work good.
