Introduction

Hello,

I'm relatively new to lock picking, don't have a real set yet, but I am looking to get into it for professional as well as personal reasons.

I have seen some pictures of the custom picks that have been made by users on here and am very impressed! I love making things, weather it is skate boards, wallets, and knives and I am looking to hopefully make a few of my own picks soon, so anyone that has feel free to message me.

I hope to learn a lot here and give back as much as I can.

Re: Introduction

Welcome aboard merchant. You will find lots of help here, but as far as people sending you a note, you will do better to ask for specific help, then those with that experience usually chime right in. Some of the finest craftsman to ever make a pick visit here, many frequently. Again, welcome and enjoy your time here.

Re: Introduction

Welcome.

Nice looking knife. One of yours?

If so what metal did you use? Got any pictures of other knives that you have made?

Love to see them.

Again welcome and like mastersmith said, specific questions will elicit a heap of responses.

Re: Introduction

Thanks for the warm welcome.

I need to read through some of the tutorials on pick making before I start asking questions that could easily be answered.

As far as my knives go, I have really only completed a few, that one there is the second one I have finished. I currently have about half a dozen, most in 440c awaiting heat treating. Here are a few sample pics:
