Do you know the opening results of the key locks?

Re: Czech Lockpicking Championship 2019

Only 4 teams were competing in the keyed safe locks (two teams of 2 and 2 individuals), a few more wanted to participate, but didn't manage to bring their tools or get there on time.

Each team had 30 minutes to open each of these 4 locks:
CAWI 2618, SECU S 1000, Mauer 71111 and CAWI Optima 2648

The opening rate was around 75% I would say, some people were picking some of the locks and didn't manage to do it in 30 minutes.

The local Czech team of Petr Wittner (the manufacturer of decoders) and Vaclav Brnka won the competition, they opened all the locks in good times, two locks (Mauer and one CAWI) below 5 minutes using Peter's newest tool, the other two in about 15 minutes using a standard decoder.

Thanks! That is what I thought. The tool wins the title.

Re: Czech Lockpicking Championship 2019

Yes, this was sort of a freestyle contest where people could show off their tools and open the safes as they do during their work. This discipline was not for hobby lockpickers.

Maybe in the future, there might be a separate event aimed only at safes so we will have time for more disciplines and we could include opening keyed safes only by picking too.
