[SF Bay Area] August 2013 TOOOL Meeting for Beginners
I'm posting to invite those of you in, near, or fortuitously visiting the Bay Area this month to our August meeting, which is specially geared to beginners.
We'll be at the legendary hacker space Noisebridge in San Francisco's Mission district on Sunday, August 25 from 1pm to 5pm.
You can learn more about Noisebridge here: https://noisebridge.net/wiki/Main_Page
A few notes for the uninitiated:
- Please bring picks if you have them. If not, we may have some for sale.
- This is kind of an unnecessarily disclaimer in this forum, I realize, but that said... don't come to learn about breaking and entering. That's not our bag.
- Parking around Noisebridge is terrible. However there is a pay lot adjacent to the venue. Still, try to take public transit if you can.
All ages are welcome, but we have generally found kids under 10 struggle a bit with the fine motor skills and patience picking requires. (Of course there are always exceptions!)
Questions? Let me know and I'll try to answer them here.
