Hi Guys!
I´m having some real issues with a 88/50...
I´m picking the lock, and i can feel the discs set, when suddenly the front disc just starts rotating without the lock popping open? am i missing something here?
I have picked a couple of chinese Discs but this just puzzles me?

I admit I'm not very familiar with a lot of disc detainer locks. But if the disc is spinning freely, I'm not really sure that the disc that needs to be set correctly. Probably more to the effect of something hard to prevent a drill bit.

Hopefully somebody more familiar with that specific lock will chime in.

I think FF is right on that one, I'm not very familiar with disc locks but I have read about the "free-floating" front discs. Does seem odd though if it suddenly happens as you said. Are you sure it doesn't always spin freely?

Yeah! but i have to admit i was a little bit quick on that posting...it´s actually quite simple...the pick wasn´t all smooth, making it loose its grip due to a not deep enough tension part...:D :D
These things are really hard to pick :D

i had a similar problem when i realized my pick was becoming loose over time, and when i thought the tensor was turning the lock open, it was just the pick spinning freely. but, on another note, i thought the same problem was happening when i found myself encounter a rear-tension disc detainer lock and had to reassess the situation when i figured out the tool wasn't coming loose. these things happen...

I think he means that the first disc used to be a 0 cut and you could tension using the 1st disc. Now you can't BUT I believe that the 2nd disc is a zero cut so if you can make a tension wrench that turns disc 1 to a 1 cut and disc 2 to a 0 cut you can still put tension on it.

Remember that there has to be a 0 cut in there somewhere to turn the lock.

The first one is the tension disc, i can feel that...what troubles me is that i can feel false gates on the second and third and fourth, but then the whole thing goes numb...not a single twitch regardless of how i turn it...and i was expecting false gates on all discs!

The 2nd disc in the lock is the 0 cut for the tention, the first is a hardend disc for anti drill.
The first just spins and you can forget about it,razor.
REMEMBER TO TURN ALL THE DISCS AROUND FIRST IN THE LOCK TILL THEY STOP,THEN INSERT YOUR PICK.
