Before you go bragging about opening a lock...

...check to make sure it's not 0-bitted. I'd opened this a while back and put up some pictures and, for some reason, this lock was still pretty tough to pick, but I'm pretty sure the fact that all the key pins and driver pins are the same length means this lock is not technically a lock and could have been opened with a blank. Sure enough, when I put a half-diamond in upside down and pushed the pins all the way up, it opened. I'm a moron. I originally intended to post this to show what's inside the core that says "700 patented".

You still picked it blind. Also if you SPP'd the lock even if it was zero bitted you would have had to go through the binding order. No shame in that.

:slam: No worries.

I just thought it was pretty funny because, out of the three Abus's I own, I had the most trouble picking this one. Thought I'd share.

Some rekeyable padlocks come with zero bitting. Why? So the locksmith can use a blank to open, then rekey to the customer's key.
