Yep that him which confused things even more because he said he found a guy on ebay selling great practice locks, if i remember correctly but that guy also comment in a friendly ton but nothing suggestive as to them being friends.

Congrats Yuri.

Took me a while to get my first one too. I believe that Bosnian Bill spent about 100 hours on his first one.

It's a real buzz to finally get them and the next one will be quicker but by the time you open one, you have spent so much time on it that you know it really well, and they are all different.

Question. How many pins?

Well done anyway. :hbg:

Is it parallel to the grain in the face in the locked position?

Actually, for some locks pictures don't prove anything.

Like a Medeco, where you can undo the pin covers and drop out the springs and top pins the turn the cylinder.....

If someone posts that they picked one and they didn't - so what. They are only BSing themselves.

Having watched a lot of pickers on YouTube, there are some that I suspect, have removed a few pins or tampered with the lock in other ways.

Not accusing anyone here of that and I know that all this is just a bit of fun but it does highlight a point.

If someone needs to cheat to feel "good" about them selves they are only cheating themselves.

Just my two cents.

I just buy empty cores and swap them out between lock bodies. It also helps to buy a few pin kits for "gut shots". That way you can make some "wild bitting" in your pinning tray.

Sometimes i just break a key off in the keyway and color the broken end in with sharpie so you can't see it.

Just a few tips.
