Edit: Awol was correct, it is a Medeco Classic core, not a Biaxial.

Yeah it's just a Medeco Classic 6-pin core inside a huge housing. The fact that it sits inside a tank of a lock doesn't make much difference to the picking of the lock. If you look under the "lock picking" > "high security" > "medeco" thread you should find some useful stuff to help you out with picking it. Basics are setting the lock to sheer, and rotating the pins properly to set the sidebar. You can do either one first, some people prefer to rotate the pins first, others prefer to set the pins first. Have a look around that forum i mentioned, and take a look at some of the videos done by users here like Kokomolock, Xeo, Solomon, Jruther2's and other's. It will give you a bit of a visual on how others pick Medeco's. Don't let the huge case of the S&G make you think it's un-pickable and all that.

My S&G 831 b is from 1974.
Medeco Classic, does that means it has no Sidebar?

the only difference is the number of angles of cut.
classic has left, right, center, whereas biaxial has left right center, fore and aft.
someone please correct me if i am wrong.
