White after Labor Day? For shame!
Re: Burg Wachter Alpha 800
Yes it's a wafer lock. Flywheel my camera is very deceptive as my shorts are khaki lol
Re: Burg Wachter Alpha 800
N-n-n-necro post! Sorry to dig up an old post. The lock has a split core design with wafers. I haven't heard of anyone picking one in the United States. Hoping some of our European members will chime in if it is pickable. I really can't find much info on the core of these Alpha 800s.

DTW, any luck since your original post?
Re: Burg Wachter Alpha 800
Spent some time on it, but traded it to HT4. Absolutely no progress when I had it though. I have one coming that shipped from the UK I might pass around to the SPP studs here stateside.
Re: Burg Wachter Alpha 800
I have one myself but never tried to pick it. I think you and I got them from the same guy
Re: Burg Wachter Alpha 800
I picked one quite some time ago. It was a pain in the ass to get it tensioned and I never really fully understood the mechanism. A friend of mine told me that his opens quite easily but somehow we never really looked at it in more detail. I really would love to take one apart to see how the mechanism works. But even in Germany they are not that common. This thread reminded me that I had this on my todo list.
