Re: The Unpicked Locks Thread

I took a prototype Commando lock to my locksport meeting. Hiwiller of this forum, who has picked all the XEO locks I've set before him was unable to get the padlock open!!

Send me the prototype.

Just curious - what is with the double springs? I see that there will be more force on the middle pins.. just curious how this works.. also curious about those top pins that are the same length, or is that just to grab the larger springs?
Interesting!

I actually have this lock right now infront of me. It is incredibly difficult. The inserted springs are meant to confuse feedback by adding artificial springiness to the pinstacks and also to add extra downforce.

Wow, I got a couple of these locks. I didn't know that was what was inside...countermilling and double springs. Cool.

This was modified. There are no Yales with such things that I know of.

Re: The Unpicked Locks Thread

You think you're progressing nicely, starting to tackle security pins pretty well, then you look at the photos of locks in this thread and realize, fuck. I have a long road ahead. lol

You guys are god-like from where I'm standing. But my powers are growing daily.... ;)
