This is a hibrid lock, and very interesting!
It have 2 different sides, 1 have only passive pins (inner side) + a metal blocking element, the other side ( outer side) have active + passive pins, and a chip reader.
If you insert the correct key to the outer side of the lock, and the key is enabled with the masterkey ( the blank on the picture), the metal blocking element moves down, the tip of the key push in a spring moved element what connect the 2 plug each other, and you can turn the key. You can enable/disable keys with the master key whenever you want.
The cam fixed to the inner plug, so you can't open the door with picking.
It works with 2 button cell.
If the cells goes to low energy, the metal blocking element falls down, and you can open the lock as a normal lock ( this is why they use normal pins too on the outer side of the lock).
